01 /Who We Are

JobUnlockr is an AI-powered platform based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. We help Indian job seekers land jobs faster. Our main product, the Auto Apply Bot, applies to jobs on LinkedIn for you, sends connection requests to recruiters and HRs, and engages with hiring posts on your behalf — automatically. We also offer a resume ATS scorer and a resume + LinkedIn rewrite service.

When you connect your LinkedIn account, upload your resume, or share your career details with us, you're trusting us with personal information. This policy explains exactly what we collect, why, and what we do with it — in plain language, no legal maze.

02 /What Data We Collect

Information you give us directly

Your resume file (PDF or DOC) and everything written in it
Your job preferences — target roles, locations, job types, salary range, and any companies you choose to exclude
Your email address
Your phone number

For the Auto Apply Bot — LinkedIn access

When you connect your LinkedIn account, you authorize the bot to act on your behalf. We store an encrypted session token that lets the bot operate inside your LinkedIn session.
We never see, collect, or store your LinkedIn password. You can disconnect anytime, which immediately revokes the bot's access.
The bot reads job listings, recruiter/HR details, and hiring posts relevant to your preferences in order to apply, connect, and engage.

Information collected automatically

Timestamps of your activity and the actions the bot takes for you (applications submitted, connections sent, posts engaged)
Basic technical data (browser type, device) for security and to keep the service running

What we do NOT collect

Your bank account, card numbers, or UPI details (these go straight to our payment provider — we never see or store them)
Your LinkedIn password
Government ID, Aadhaar, or PAN details
Any sensitive personal data as defined under the DPDP Act 2023

04 /How Long We Keep Your Data

We only keep what we need, for as long as we need it to run the service you paid for.

Auto Apply Bot users — your resume and preferences are retained while your application credits are active, because the bot uses them to apply on your behalf over time. Once your credits are used up, or you delete your account, we remove them.
Resume Fix users (one-time resume/LinkedIn product) — your uploaded resume file and the text extracted from it are automatically and permanently deleted within 24 hours of processing. We keep only your ATS score and email so you can access your results and get support.
Your LinkedIn session token is kept only while your account is connected. Disconnecting revokes it immediately.
All data is encrypted in transit and at rest.

05 /Who We Share Your Data With

We do not sell your data. We do not use it for advertising. Ever.

To run the service, your data passes through trusted partners — and only for the purpose of delivering JobUnlockr to you:

Anthropic (Claude AI) — Your resume text and job details are sent to Claude's API to match, analyze, and tailor your applications. Anthropic processes this under its own privacy and data-handling terms and does not use API data to train its models.
Secure infrastructure providers — We use trusted hosting, automation, and connectivity providers to run the bot, store your records securely, and deliver your reports. They process your data only to operate the service.
Our payment provider (e.g. Razorpay) — Processes your payment. They handle all card and banking details directly. We never see or store your payment information.

All partners handle your data only to deliver our service — never for their own marketing.

06 /Your Rights Under the DPDP Act 2023

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, you have the right to:

Access — Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Correction — Ask us to fix any inaccurate or incomplete data.
Erasure — Ask us to delete your data. We'll comply within 30 days unless legally required to keep it.
Withdraw consent — Withdraw consent at any time, including disconnecting your LinkedIn account. This won't affect anything we processed before you withdrew.
Grievance redressal — Raise a complaint if you believe your data was mishandled.

08 /Cookies & Tracking

JobUnlockr uses only essential cookies needed to keep the service working and secure. We do not use advertising cookies or track you across other websites.

We may use basic, privacy-respecting analytics to understand how many people use the service — but this is aggregated and not tied to your identity.

09 /Children's Privacy

JobUnlockr is built for job seekers and is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has used JobUnlockr, email hello@jobunlockr.com and we'll delete their data promptly.

10 /Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy occasionally. When we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date at the top. If the change is significant, we'll make it clearly visible on the site. Continuing to use JobUnlockr after an update means you accept the revised policy.
