01 /Who We Are

JobUnlockr is an AI-powered platform based in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India, helping Indian job seekers land jobs faster. Our main product, the Auto Apply Bot, applies to jobs on LinkedIn for you, connects with recruiters and HRs, and engages with hiring posts — automatically. We also offer an ATS Resume Score + AI Rewrite (₹89 one-time) and a standalone LinkedIn Optimizer (₹89 one-time).

By using JobUnlockr, you consent to the collection and processing of your data exactly as described in this policy. If you do not consent, do not use the service.

02 /What Data We Collect — With Your Consent

Information you provide directly

Your resume file (PDF or DOC) and its contents
Your job preferences — target roles, locations, job types, salary range, excluded companies
Your email address and phone number

For the Auto Apply Bot — LinkedIn access & credentials

By activating the bot, you voluntarily authorize and consent to the following:

We store an encrypted session token enabling the bot to operate inside your LinkedIn session.
Where required to set up or maintain your bot session, you provide your LinkedIn password through the secure form inside our website/app — the only channel through which we ever collect it. It is stored encrypted at rest, used solely to operate your bot, and automatically deleted within 24 hours of disconnection or the end of your service period.
We never ask for your password over email, WhatsApp, SMS, phone, or any external channel. Any such request is fraudulent and not from JobUnlockr. Credentials shared by you outside our secure in-app form are shared at your own risk, and JobUnlockr accepts no responsibility for them.
The bot reads job listings, recruiter/HR details, and hiring posts relevant to your preferences in order to act on your behalf.

Information collected automatically

Activity timestamps and a record of all actions the bot performs for you (applications, connections, engagements) — which also serve as our record of service delivery
Basic technical data (browser, device) for security and operations

What we do NOT collect

Bank account, card, or UPI details (handled entirely by our payment provider)
Government ID, Aadhaar, or PAN details

03 /Why We Process Your Data

04 /How Long We Keep Your Data

Auto Apply Bot users — resume, preferences, and session data are retained during your active 30-day service period, because the bot needs them to act for you. Your LinkedIn password and session token are deleted within 24 hours of disconnection or the end of your service period, whichever comes first.
Resume Fix users — your uploaded resume file and extracted text are permanently deleted within 24 hours of processing. We retain your ATS score and email for result access and support.
Service delivery records (activity logs, application history, communications) may be retained as long as necessary to document service delivery, resolve disputes, and comply with legal obligations.
All data is encrypted in transit and at rest.

05 /Who We Share Your Data With

We do not sell your data. We do not use it for advertising. Your LinkedIn password is never shared with any third party — no partner, no exceptions.

Your data passes only through processors necessary to deliver the service:

Anthropic (Claude AI) — resume text and job details are processed via Claude's API for matching and content generation, under Anthropic's own data-handling terms (API data is not used to train its models). Your password is never sent to Anthropic.
Secure infrastructure providers — hosting, automation, and connectivity providers that run the bot and store records, strictly to operate the service.
Our payment provider (e.g. Razorpay) — handles all payment data directly; we never see or store it.

We may also disclose data where required by law, court order, or government authority, or where necessary to defend JobUnlockr's legal rights.

06 /Your Rights Under the DPDP Act 2023

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, you may:

Access a copy of your personal data
Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
Request erasure — honoured within 30 days, except data we are legally entitled or required to retain (including service delivery and dispute records)
Withdraw consent at any time by disconnecting your LinkedIn account — noting that withdrawal ends the bot's ability to operate and does not entitle you to any refund outside our Terms of Service, nor affect processing already completed
Raise a grievance regarding data handling

Email hello@jobunlockr.com with subject "Data Rights Request." We respond within 30 days. Bot credentials require no request — they are deleted automatically within 24 hours of disconnection or service completion.

08 /Security

We protect your data with encryption in transit and at rest and restrict access to what is required to operate the service. However, no system on the internet can be guaranteed 100% secure, and to the maximum extent permitted by law, JobUnlockr is not liable for breaches arising from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including compromise of your own devices, email, or accounts.

09 /Cookies & Tracking

JobUnlockr uses essential cookies required for the service to function securely, and basic aggregated analytics not tied to your identity. We do not use advertising cookies or track you across other websites.

10 /Children's Privacy

JobUnlockr is not directed at anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect data from minors. Report any such case to hello@jobunlockr.com for prompt deletion.

11 /Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy at any time by updating the date above; significant changes will be made visible on the site. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance.
